PTI Feature: Cutaway Tags – Spring

Hello! I’m pretty excited to share my card today, as it may be my favorite card that I’ve made during this Papertrey Ink March Release! I am very much looking forward to the summer and was already feeling very inspired to get working with some warm, bright colors.

The one technique I am quite addicted in doing is stamping with wet ink to create a watercolored look. I used this technique all over today’s card to create the fun, loose background with the new Courage & Kindness stamp set. I used distress inks in this card, however, it can work with even dye inks! Just dab on some ink, spritz it some water, and stamp down. The more water you add, the more loose the image becomes.

With some leftover ink on my stamps, I picked up some with a brush and added some splatter. I then die cut the Cutaway Tags: Spring out of white card stock. I think this die is absolutely ADORABLE. I love it so much. The floral design on this is just too cute. Since my background was already so busy, I didn’t add any color to the die cut. I simply stamped the sentiment in the center with coordinated colors.

I was originally planning to adhere it to the center of the card, but as I was placing it around, I thought it looked perfect to the side and slanted! I simply adhered it to my card with foam tape and snipped off any excess off the side of my A2 sized card base. I hope like today’s card as much as I do!

If you’re interested in any of the March release products, head on over to the Papertrey Ink store today!

Cheers,

Supplies

This is so lovely! The slanted, off-to-the-side placement of the tag is perfect.
