Papertrey Ink

PTI Feature: Nesting and Botanical Letters

I am always utterly amazed at how beautifully intricate Papertrey Ink dies are, and in this month’s release, the Nesting stamps, dies, and cover plate is absolutely stunning.

I like to keep cards looking clean and simple (even though it may still take me a few hours to finish!). I blended on some Blueberry Ski and Spring Rain dye inks from to the corners of my background. I then smooshed the ink on my craft mat and then picked up some ink with a water brush and added a touch of splatter. I stamped the layering images of the birds, nest, and leaves with various dye inks (colors listed in Supplies section below), and die cut with coordinating dies.

I die cut the branches with the coverplate out of white cardstock, and adhered it directly to the blended background. I then stamped my sentiment, and adhered all the pieces together with some adhesive and foam tape.

For my next card, I featured the Botanical Letters. These stamps are gorgeous! They make beautiful monograms, personal letterhead, and in my card today, wedding thank you cards!

I stamped my fiance and my initials and then stamped all the floral layering. I haven’t quite decided on wedding colors yet, but blue was on my list of possibilities! I then stamped thank you right below it with the same colored dye ink as my flower.

I love adding a little watercolor to so I created a soft blend of watercolor above and below the letters in a matching blue. I kept the design very clean and simple as I wanted to design something I can mass produce.  I really love how it turned out and hope you do too!
