Hi there! It’s time for this month’s Creative Construction with Blueprints and today we are showcasing cards using the suggested Blueprint sketches that MFT provides in the MFT Resources. I love these little sketches because it help spur up layout ideas, or even better tells me exactly what to do!
In my card today, I am using Blueprints 25. This is one of my first blueprints that I personally purchased from MFT way before I became a design team member. I loved this set for its A2 sized stitched frame and the stitched fishtail banners in the set. This blueprint also has very unique shapes and a line of holes that is perfect to sew in some twine for decorations.
My follows the top left blueprint sketch suggested in the PDF here. This sketch provided me plenty of space to showcase a watercolor space sky while adding just a touch of decorative layout design to make this card special!
I used the Birdie Brown Space Explorer stamp set and coordinated dies. I stamped my images in milk chocolate hybrid ink and colored them in copic markers. I die cut the curved slice and stitched banner out of colored cardstock. I heat embossed my sentiment on the banner thereafer in white. The height of it fit perfectly with my sentiment!
I arranged all the pieces just like the suggested sketch, with just a couple extra stars adhered below the banner. And as a final touch I went back and added Spectrum Noir sparkler (glitter pen) to my stars and the blue areas on my space kid.
Hope you enjoy today’s feature and be sure to visit the MFT Blog to check out more genius creations from my teamies!
