Hi again! Today I’m over at the Neat & Tangled blog sharing this cute card using some older products that I still love very much to this day. Whenever I get free reign of what to make, I love digging into my older stash!
The card features the Better Together stamp set and the Geometric Bloom stencil. I started on the background by blending soft shades of pink, purple, and blue with the stencil, leaving the center white. Then, I added a touch of splatter witht he same dye inks.
I stamped the ‘hugs’ with a similar, but darker shade of the blue, and the remaining portion of the sentiment in dark brown ink.
My images were also stamped in the dark brown hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. But here’s the special part! I added a lot of stitching detail with a white gel pen. It started with the girl’s dress, but then I thought, let’s make this a real teddy bear and add some stitching to him too. And why not the sentiment also!
The layout of the card is pretty simple, and I adhered my images with foam tape. But for me, it’s always the details that matter, and I truly love how all the stiching details brought the card together! Hope this inspires you to do some white gel pen creativity and look forward to seeing your works!
