Hello there! Today I’m featuring two of Papertrey Ink’s April Release products: the Year of Psalms April and Circled Symbols. Both completely different stamp sets, but nonetheless unique and beautiful in its own way.
Let’s start with this month’s Year of Psalms! The font that makes up these monthly sets are always, always beautiful, and I absolutely love this month’s psalm.
I started by heat embossing my psalm in gold along the left side. With these gorgeously written psalms, I simply need to compliment it, and florals are always a wonderful choice. I thought it was be lovely to make a wreath with the Gran’s Garden stamp set, using just the leaves and small flowers in the set.
After putting down the text, I gently sketched a half circle around it to give myself some guidelines to build my wreath. I stamped the leaves in along my sketched lines with Vintage Jadeite dye ink. Once it’s dry (seconds later), I erased the lines.
Next, I stamped the small flowers in Berry Sorbet dye ink, and embellished them with some white gel ink. There are coordinating dies for the slightly larger flower, but the tiny ones I fussy cut out.
I added just a touch of splatter with the Berry Sorbet dye ink around the wreath, and then adhered all my little flowers around it with foam tape. And that finishes this card.
Next up is the Circled Symbols. This is such a fun set. These circles are little pictogram puzzles that you can put together to deliver your sentiment. As they are circles, they also make fun pattern designs, so I wanted to create a background of these circles in light grey, but only have my message in bright colors!
So I stamped my sentiment in various colors, and fussy cut them out. I used the same colors to add splatter to my background as it looks like sprinkles or confetti! Then, I added my colored circle symbols with foam tape in various spots into the background.
A simple, but fun card perfect to send to anyone! Hope you enjoy today’s two cards, and be sure to come back tomorrow for more PTI inspiration. There are tons more coming!
