Papertrey Ink

PTI Feature: Out of This World

If you’re familiar with my work, then you know how much I love space cards! I was so excited when I saw Papertrey Ink’s new Make It Market Mini Kit called Out of This World. The stencils, the paper, the stamps, the sentiment…there’s not a thing in this kit that I don’t love!! I can’t wait to find some more free time to play with this kit, but for today I’m going to share a pair of cards that I was able to easily whip up with the kit.

First of all, one of my favorite things about these kits in general is the pre-printed images. When you’re short on time and need to make a card last minute, these printed images are a blessing. My absolutely favorite part of the kit are these awesome stencils!! The planet stencil in just genius, seriously. I was able to blend up this really cool planet on this card with some dye inks. It’s wonderful with all the stamp images in this kit, but I know many of you have tons of space themed stamps from other companies too, and can you imagine how many cool backgrounds you could be creating?

All my images in these 2 cards were die cut from the pre printed images and adhered onto these pre printed backgrounds with foam tape. The first two lines of the sentiment were stamped, followed by ‘World’ which was also die cut from the pre printed images. The stamp set also has more images like stars that you can add even more to your cards. I actually heat embossed those stars in the second card in silver to add just a touch of shiny to it.

Not to mention, we all need a little more supplies to make some masculine cards! I’m alway short on those, and can’t wait to make more of these to keep on hand.

Cheers,

Supplies

Love these! This set is top on my wishlist. And you’re right, new ideas for masculine cards — especially for teen boys — are always a good thing!
