My Favorite Things

MFT August Release Countdown Day 2

In today’s episode of the My Favorite Things August Release, the monsters have return to haunt us this Halloween! We’re down to countdown day 2 with monstrous amounts of fun!

If you loved the previously released Monster Love set, then you’re totally going to love this month’s More Monsters set. More monsters, more faces, more puns! One big monster party!

My card is one of those I’ll figure it out as I’m making it kind of deal. I started by ombre stamping these monsters in various blues and greens. I used Sour Apple, Gumdrop Green, Blu Raspberry, and Cornflower. For the eyes, I used Gravel Gray, and then I used a pink copic marker to add some blushes to each of them.

Since we’re “sending” monster hugs, we gotta pack one up right? Haha. I created a mini envelop with the Die-namics Mini Mail in grey zig-zag pattern paper from the new Gray & White Basics Paper Pack. I stuffed one my monsters in there.

For the background, I blended seedless grapes distress ink and heat embossed my sentiment in the top left corner in silver. I created fun frame by first stamping the background with Make Your Mark Background stamp in Nightshift Blue and then die cut the window with the Die-namics Mod Rectangle STAX. I love these new STAX!

Finally, I was able to assemble the monsters together with foam tape and have the hand raised green one carry the monster they are sending off! Aren’t these the cutest?

Check out the MFT Blog for more release information and more projects from participating design team members. All release products will be available Tuesday, August 8th at 9pm EST in the MFT Store. Be sure to come back tomorrow for more projects from the August release!

Cheers,
