Hi there! In this month’s post of MFT Hits & Highlights, we are taking a look of the Essentials collection. MFT‘s line of essentials is the perfect place to start building your supply of stamps and dies, or perfect to add to your collection! The versatility of this collection is boundless and a staple to have in your stash. I have personally used the Essential Sentiments and More Essential Sentiments sets countless times and have kept them near me in my most used pile!
I also enjoy using the Essential Cover-Up dies that come in both vertical and horizontal. These frames are perfect to add interest into your background and provide a simple, clean layout for your sentiment and images. I used the Essential Cover-Up Vertical and the More Essential Sentiments in my project today.
The holidays is my favorite time to craft! I brought back last year’s Birdie Brown release of Beast Friends for my card today. I wanted to use these yetis to pari with my largely written ‘cheers’ across the top that I die cut out of Die-namics Cheers. I stamped the yetis in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. I then die cut them out with coordinating dies.
My background consists of Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch distress inks. I blended from the top and then added some splatter from each of these inks. I then die the background out of the Essential Cover-Up Vertical, adhereing the inside panels directly onto my A2 base. I then heat embossed my secondary sentiment from More Essential Sentiments onto the frame in white and then adhered the frame onto the card with foam tape. The ‘cheers’ was die cut 3 times, layered and glued together with adhesive. And lastly, I adhered my yetis onto the bottom area with foam tape.
Thanks for joining me today and be sure to head on over to the MFT Blog for more content and projects from our participating design team members!
