Welcome back to the second day of the Neat & Tangled November Release Week! I’m so excited to share with you today’s feature stamp set called Christmas Pageant illustrated by Elena. It is undoubtedly the cutest holiday set I have ever seen!
I love, love, love how this card turned out. I knew immediately that I had to to create a stage scene. The Scalloped stencil was just screaming at me to create the red curtains to set the scene of this card. So I used the stencil to blend Fired Brick distress ink over the stencil, intetionally leaving the center area white, so that it looks like the curtains are open.
I stamped almost all the images from the Christmas Pageant stamp set in Chocolate Brown hyrbid ink and colored them with copic markers. And then I die cut each of the pieces out with the coordianting dies.
Now to finish building the scene, I wanted to hang the snowflake decorations off of the sentiment. So, I heat embossed the sentiment ‘Merry Christmas’ in white onto white cardstock and trimmed it down it to a thin strip. After I knew exactly where I was going to place the sentiment, I stamped the dotted lines stamp in alternating heights right underneath it. Then, I stamped the secondary sentiment onto a piece of kraft card stock in the same Chocolate Brown ink.
Now I finally have all the pieces ready, and time to assemble! All the pieces the card were adhered with foam tape on top of the curtain background. I also added some Wink of Stella to the snowflakes hanging above, but I wasn’t able to capture the shine in the photo, but it’s there! All in all, I love how it all turned out and I can’t get over how cute and unique this set is.
