Welcome to my stop on the Spellbinders November Inspirational Blog Hop! You should have arrived here for Laurie’s blog, but if you started here or been hopping your own way, you can find the full list of the blog hop below to guide you. Without further ado, let’s get this party started!
The November release four new collections: Chantilly Paper Lace, Cool Vibes, Four Seasons, and Love Set Match. Each of these collections so incredibly unique! Today, I will sharing with you 2 projects that I created using the Four Seasons and Love Set Match collections.assembling my leaves all around the wreath in a variety of directions.
This card was a fun project created with the Reaction Love Set Match Set. The chemistry theme brought me back to college when I took organic chemistry classes (yuck!). I thought about creating a chalkboard look by heat embossing witht he image and sentiment onto black cardstock. Then I used some Prismacolor colored pencils to add lots of color to the images at the sentiment.
With my white colored pencil, I drew lots of molecular structures all over the background. I also took out some wood print paper and trimmed 4 pieces to create a faux frame for my chalkboard. My frame was put together with foam tape.
Any chemistry lover would love this card! Plus, the puns in this set is absolutely adorable.
And finally, my last and favorite card in today’s post! I die cut all these little snowflakes from the Shareabilities Wreath Elements Etched Dies. Do you see the little embossing in some of the snowflakes? Love them. I ran my die through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting machine 4-5 times.
I blended the outer edges of a piece of bristol board with Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Broken China. I used the same ink colors to add splatters. Then, I heat embossed the large sentiment ‘wishing you’ from ME Wishing You set in silver right in the center of the card. I heat embossed the second part of the card on Blu Raspberry card stock and trimmed it down to a thin strip.
Now that I have all the pieces, I adhered the various snowflakes all around the large sentiment, and trimmed out any excess hanging off the edge. Then I adhered the thin strip of sentiment with foam tape below the large sentiment.
Hope you enjoy all the cards I have shared today! Now it’s time to head on over to Simon’s blog!
