My Favorite Things

MFT December Release Countdown Day 2

We are now at Countdown Day 2 of the My Favorite Things December Release! If you’re one to love solid stamped images and cute critters, today’s set called Friendly Forest is made just for you!

I used the various images of the Friendly Forest stamp set to create stamped background using Blu Raspberry, Sour Apple, Cotton Candy, and Sno Cone dye inks. I usually find 4 different ink colors to be a good mix when I want to do some backgroud stamping. I already had a sentiment to use in mind so I made sure my raccoon was in the center of the card.

To specifically bring out attention to the raccoon, I had a little fun with some die cutting. I die cut a octagon using the Die-namics Stitched Tag-Corner Square STAX around the raccoon and then used the coordinating Die-namics Friendly Forest to die cut out the raccoon. This allowed me to elevate the panel, set in the octagon shape, and pop out the raccoon.

I heat embossed my sentiment in white onto Blu Raspberry cardstock, trimmed it down to a strip, and positioned it right below my raccoon. It’s all about the dimensions!

Be sure to visit the MFT Blog every day during the countdown for more release content and projects from participating design team members. All release product will be available Tuesday, December 5 at 9pm EST in the MFT Store.

Cheers,

Supplies
