I love, love, love the Waffle Flower x Kamo collection! I always enjoy her whimsical illustrations and just adore all the sets she comes up with. Her illustrations packed with lots of fun and happy energy, which makes it even more enjoyable for me to create scenes with them. This month Waffle Flower released the Favorite Valentine set featured in today’s card.
How cute are these two lovebirds? I totally imagined them starring so lovingly with each other and hiding secret gifts to one another. He’s holding flowers, she’s holding a love letter, and the cupids floating around them! All the images were stamped from the Favorite Valentine stamp set in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored with copic markers. They were then die cut out with the Favorite Valentine matching dies.
I blended a background with colors similar to the copic coloring I did. The background is blended with Worn Lipstick, Antique Linen, Broken China, and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks. I also added a very fine splatter with the same inks.
I also wanted to give this scene a frame. I love the little bows from this stamp set, and stamped, colored, and die cut 4 of them. I die cut a white frame using the Stitched Layers Die, then added the bows to each corner of the frame.
Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment from this stamp set in white onto a light blue card stock. I trimmed it down to a thin strip, and added it along with the rest of the images to the card with foam tape.
