Spellbinders: Field of Poppies

Hi there! Today I have a card to share with you featuring the Spellbinders Field of Poppies Die D-Lites. Spellbinders truly create some of the most beautiful dies out there and I always enjoy working with them.

I started by die cutting the image out of copic friendly card stock. Then, I was able to start coloring the dies cut. Although I always love the strong bright red of poppies, I decided to do a pastel take on it.  I also used a white gel pen to add details to give it a whimsical feel to it. Then, I used the Nuvo Buttermilk Crystal Drops to add a yellow center to the forward looking flowers.

On bristol paper, I blended a soft background with Salty Ocean and Antique Linen distress oxide inks. I picked out the sentiment ‘Design a life you love’ from the MFT Boss Babe stamp set. I stamped it win Versamark ink and heat embossed it in silver.

I gave it a white frame by cutting two strips of white card stock that was approximately an inch in height. Both these strips and the field of poppies were adhered with foam tape, giving it a nice depth to the card.

Do you like it? It came out better than I could have pictured it. I hope we are all able to design a life we love!
