PTI Feature: Bold Borders Diagonal and Sentiment Staples Thank You

Welcome back to another day of the Papertrey Ink March release countdown! Today’s post features the newest addition to the Bold Borders and Sentiment Staples series. I introduce to you the Bold Borders: Diagonal and Sentiment Staples: Thank You sets!

Both of these series are such great staple additions to the crafty stash. They just go well with everything and we can always use plenty of ‘thank you’ sentiments. I started by creating a blended background using Salty Ocean and Worn Lipstick distress oxide inks. I added white acrylic paint and both of these inks to add ink splatter to the background. I die cut the Bold Borders: Diagonal with white card stock to overlay over the blended background.

I decorated the card with butterflies and flowers from the Butterfly Blooms  stamp and die set featured in Day 2 of the release countdown. I stamped the butterfly in dark brown hybrid ink and colored it with copic markers. I get so excited when I get to color! Then, I die cut it out with the coordinating dies. The flowers on the end die cut right to the edge, so for these I die cut first, then stamped them with the flower images using Melon Berry and Bright Buttercup dye inks.

Next, I heat embossed the curvy ‘thank you’ font from Sentiment Staples in silver, followed by two subsequent sentiments ‘so much’ and ‘you’re the best’ in the same dark brown hybrid ink below it. I love the clean look of these sentiments so much! Now that all the pieces are done, I adhered the butterfly in various flowers onto the card with foam tape.

Don’t forget to check out the Papertrey Ink blog for more inspirations from the team! Be sure to stop by tomorrow for one more day of countdown before the release!
