Welcome back to Day 2 of the Neat & Tangled November Release Week! Do you also enjoy making non-cards? My favorite project to do aside from cards are tags! I think it’s such a fun addition to a nicely wrapped present, and definitely helps makes them stand out amongst all the other presents under the tree!
Today’s project, however, isn’t about the tag, but rather about the new Penguin Die! Oh he’s such a cute little guy. With the new dies, I die cut the penguin’s body out of grey card stock, the feet and beak out of yellow card stock, and the body out of white card stock. I used my copic markers to add some shading and blushing, and rather than use the dies, I decidd to draw in the eyes witha copic multiliner. However, the die set does come with eyes, but it was just my preference to add little bit of my own style to this cutie.
His flappers are long enough to hug things, and I decided to give him a mini Reeses’s Pieces to hold. I added a little glue to the tips of his flappers and it held the piece of candy in place. I decided to add this cute penguin to a tag, so I die cut a tag using the Build A Tag dies out of a piece of pattern paper from the Holiday Vibes paper pack. With the penguin towards the bottom of the tag, I had just enough space to add a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments set.
I finished off the tag by adding a cute pink bow (to match his cheeks!) and some wooden stars around him. I also made this tag holiday neutral so that it can be added to any kind of occasion! I’m thinking this would be perfect for a baby shower gift!
