Swoon! The heart in bloom is such a stunning work of art. Mama Elephant brought on a new talented illustrator, Anna Oszvald, for this floral set, and honestly I can’t wait to see more of her gorgeous work in the future. The details of this floral heart is incredible, and I had quite a fun time coloring this up.
I stamped it in dark brown hybrid ink and colored it with copic markers. As you can probably imagine, getting all the shading in each individual takes awhile to complete, but the end result is beautiful. This card will definitely go to someone very special!
After coloring the image, I then stamped the sentiment on the banner. You can swap the sentiment however you like, and they are already curved to fit the banner perfectly. Next, I die cut the image out with the coordinating dies.
With so much work put into the flower already, I kept the background simple to keep the attention on the floral heart. As I planned to offset the heart to the left side, I ink blended from left to right to draw the attention. I used Aged Mahogany, Tea Dye, and Antique Linen distress oxide inks and added a light splatter.
Then I die cut the background out with the Woodgrain Cover and added the floral heart to the side with foam and trimmed off any portion sticking out. Hope you like it!
Gorgeous card! I love the flowers!!
