My Favorite Things

MFT December Release Countdown Day 4

Welcome back to Day 4 of the My Favorite Things December Release Countdown! Today we’re introducing Birdie Brown’s newest set called BB Friends at First Sip. I bet many of you are pretty excited to see a coffee themed set!

I stamped the two girls and their dogs in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. I related myself to the right one, so I also picked out a dog similar to mine as well! She even had an outfit similar to what I wear almost daily to work so I thought it was very relatable. I picked out the cocker spaniel for the girl on the left since they both shared similar hair. Don’t they say that the owner and their dog share a lot of similarities?

My background is ink blended with Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass distress oxides, but it is definitely not stormy! I stamped a few clouds from a set called Owl My Love. It was the first set I found in my stash with clouds on it so I went with that to help fill out the sky.

For the rest of the scene, I used the Our Town  Die-namics out of white card stock, and the Stitched Snow Drifts out of Neenah Desert Storm card stock.

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Friends at First Sip stamp set in the top center and surrounded it with the clouds. Lastly, I added my characters to the card with foam tape.

Be sure to also check out the MFT Blog for more inspirations from participating designers and other products introduced today. I’ll be back for more inspirations featuring the MFT December Release Countdown soon!
