We’re down to Day 2 of the My Favorite Things December Release and I have a sweet card to share with you featuring the Forever and Owlways and new Blueprints 33. It’s ben a little while since a Blueprints was released, so I was both excited and surprised to see this fabulous new die set this month and I have to say I love it!
How adorable are these owls? I stamped all the images you see on this card from the Forever and Owlways stamp set in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. I added some minor details with a white gel pen and die cut the images out with their coordinating Die-namics.
I created an evening background by ink blending Chipped Sapphire, Shaded Lilac, and Milled Lavender distress oxide inks. I framed the scene using the largest frame in the new Blueprints 33 offset to the left side out of pattern paper from the Petite Plaid Paper Pack. The frame was added with foam tape as well as the owl and the branch. The stars were scattered into the background.
I heat embossed the sentiment onto Wild Wisteria card stock. Because the sentiment came in one line and I wanted two, I stamped it twice and brushed off the embossing powder of the section I didn’t want, leaving me two halves of the sentiment on separate lines. Then, I die cut fishtail sentiment strips out of it using the dies in Blueprints 33.
The sentiment is added to the card on the right side, and any pieces sticking outside of the A2 size was trimmed off. Those owls just look so cute!
Don’t forget to stop by the MFT Blog for more inspirations from participating designers and other products introduced today. I’ll be back on release day, Tuesday,09 to share some more inspiration with the December Release!
I’m with you, this Owl set was a surprise but is so adorable and the sentiment “You Make Me Wing-Flapping Happy” cracks me up! Your card looks awesome with the patterned paper and the ink blending, I love it.
