MFT Love is in the Air: Loved Ones

Love is in the air! Next month is Valentine’s and My Favorite Things release several products recently to help you out to create the sweetest card for your loved ones. In case you haven’t visited the MFT blog today, I wanted to share with details of the project I created for today’s MFT blog segment of Love is in the Air.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I felt a scene card would describe the feelings of love best! I took out the SY Tweet Friends stamp set and stamped the two birds and several stems of greenery images in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink. I colored it with copic markers and die cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics.

To create the scene, I went for a warm ink blended background. I also die cut a few birch tree trunks with the Birch Trees Die-namics out of white card stock. I gently ink blended the edges of these to add a teeny bit of definition, but it does not show up that well in the pictures. That’s how light it is!

With the layout of the scene in mind, I heat embossed the large sentiment ‘you & me <3″ from the 100% Lovable stamp set in white. I love the large hand written sentiments in this set! I used a copic marker to darken the colors within the heart.

For the ground, I used the Grassy Hills Die-namics on Sour Apple card stock. I added this layer with foam tape, and added the flowers and greenery in front and tucked behind it. And finally, the focus of the card, the two lovebirds are added with foam squares.

I hope this card brings you lots of joy and love! May you be inspired to create that perfect card for the loved ones in your life.
