Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Stackable Cuties

These Mama Elephant Stackable Cuties are the CUTEST! When I saw this set, I was immediately reminded of my Disney Tsum Tsum collection, my squishy, adorable, stackable collection of Disney plushes. And well, of course I had to stack these cute critters for today’s card! There’s no other way!

I had thought about stacking all 10 of them, but I really wanted to keep this card of a reasonable length (aka I can still mail this card). So, I decided to go for a slimline card which fits in a #10 envelope. The dimensions of my card base is 3.5″ by 8.5″, and this comfortably fits 6 critters vertically (7 if you really want to push it closer to the edge).

I stamped a bunch of them in dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. Then, I die cut the images out with their coordinating cuts. I then created an ink blended background with distress oxide inks and trimmed it down to 3.25″ by 8.25″. With the position of my critters in mind, I stamped the speech bubble images from the stamp set directly onto my background in the same dark brown hybrid ink.

I then die cut a ground using the Landscape Trio CC out of kraft card stock. After adding this to the card, I started assembling my critter totem pole, add the critters on top of each other with foam tape. As you can imagine (or not!), the unicorn needed to be at top. It was also the cutest!

As a final embellishment, I decided to add tiny iridescent stars to my background. It matched the turqouise colors so well, it adds a nice little sparkle to it!
