It’s been a little while since I last participated, but there’s a new My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge today and WSC 427 is a fun one!
There’s tons of cute images with critters holding balloons, so I had a lot of options here! I wanted the largest balloon I can find, and I landed on using Balloon Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics.
I did a little ink blending on a piece of white card stock first, and then used the Balloon Shaker dies to die cut the window out of it, then the frame out of white card stock. I die cut the balloon frame out of craft foam to get the dimenion I needed to add sequins, and sealed it up with the frame and a layer of acetate.
I decided to the cute hippo and birds from BB Happy Hippos. This guy was perfect to be hanging onto the balloon! The images were stamped in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored with copic markers, and then die cut out with their coordinating Die-namics.
Just like the sketch, my sentiment banner needed to go across the balloon. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto Gravel Gray card stock and heat embossed it in white. I die cut the stitched banner using the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics and added it across the balloon and trimmed off any hanging off the right edge. All done! Hope this inspires you to join us in this week’s challenge!
