Welcome back to Day 2 of The Greetery Launch Week! My heart is full from reading all your comments from yesterday’s post. I am so excited with ya’ll and happy to see all the enthusiasm for Betsy’s new company. Today I am thrilled to present to you the Fleur Impressions stamps and dies, and the Comforting Commands stamps and dies. It is without a doubt that Betsy makes the most beautiful layered floral sets, and for those that love stamping more than coloring, I think this set is meant for you!
The layered flowers stamps in this set vary from 2 to 3 layers of petals and another stamp for the center. The leaves are all 1 layer stamps. I’m not the best at aligning things by looking, so I used the We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced (bought it at Michaels with a 60% off coupon!) for alignment. This has become my favorite stamping tool, and I also own both MISTI and the retired Tim Holtz stamp platform. The colors used in the example image were stamped in Altenew dye inks: Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Dusk. The center was stamped in Antique Linen distress oxide ink.
I could not stop trying out ink combinations and I’ll definitely share more projects with them soon because I have stamped tons of extras! But for today, I picked out my favorite ones, specifically these coral flowers to build the arrangement on the card.
The larger flowers are stamped in Altenew dye inks: Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, and Heart Beat. The smaller flowers were stamped in Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, and Sand Dunes. The leaves are stamped in Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades. And each of the components were then die cut out with the coordinating dies.
The next thing I typically do is figure out a layout and this is where I start messing around with all my die cuts to figure out how I want to arrange them. Once I have a layout in mind, I did some ink blending to enhance the look, and heat embossed the sentiment ‘let us rejoice & be glad” in the center in gold. I die cut the background panel out with a scallop die to give it the extra delicate look.
I added the background panel to an A2 base card over craft foam. Then, I added my floral arrangement piece by piece using foam tape underneath it to add more dimension and layers.
The large embossed font shines so beautifully in the light! It feels like it just glows. This card makes me happy.
