My Favorite Things

MFT April Release Countdown Day 2

We continue the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown to reveal some sweet spring critters! Although we are officially in Spring, I know for some of you, it’s still looking like its Winter outside, so hopefully the adorable critters and floral products you’re seeing this month has brought you one step closer. Here in California, it has been a little wild with all the super blooms happening everywhere. If you want to get out of town, perhaps this is the place to be!

I stamped several critters from Sweet Spring Friends in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers markers. I die cut all the images were the coordinating Die-namics.

I wanted to frame a scene, so I used Stitched Mini Scallop Oval STAX to build layers for the background, the hills, and the frames. The background was ink blended and the hills were die cut with Stitched Snow Drifts out of Sour Apple card stock.

For the background, I used All Lined Up background stamp to heat emboss the pattern in white against a Desert Storm card stock.

The sentiment is heat embossed in gold onto a left over portion of my ink blended background after I had already die cut the oval. I then die cut it out using Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics. These flags are definitely being added to my staple collection. Love them!

The sentiment strip is added to the bottom portion of the oval, tucking the fishtail ends behind the front portion such that it looks like it is wrapping around the oval frame. The critters were added last to the scene with foam tape.
