It’s a new week and time for a new My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Admittedly, I took a looser interpretation of this week’s sketch as I was being quite stubborn with the stamps I wanted to play with. But nevertheless, I had a lot of fun and that’s really all that matters right?
So, I had really wanted to combine the BB New Best Friend and BB Best in Show stamp sets. Both have lots of dogs, and well, I love dogs! I had stamped the girl holding the dog from BB New Best Friend and a few other dogs from BB Best in Show in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them with my copic markers. The coordinating Die-namics were then used to die cut the images out.
So my thought was simple, to match the sketch I wanted the girl in the center and the two dogs around her. The different areas of the sketch will then be sectioned off by my inking using the Drifts & Hills stencil. Although the idea of the layout was based on the sketch, my images were a tad larger to match it exactly, so my horizontal area is a bit lower than the sketch.
For the frame I used the Single Stitch Line Rounded Rectangle Frames, once on the background, and once with white card stock for the frame. I heat embossed the sentiment in white just below the center, and then assembled the scene onto a piece of plaid pattern paper.
I added my images last to the card with foam tape for the dimension, and that finishes up the card. Stop on by the MFT blog for more challenge inspiration and join us!
