Welcome back to the second day of the Countdown to Confetti this month, and we’ve got another cute set to share with you called Rainy Day Fun.
I know there are many who enjoy rainy days, but I am definitely not one of them! Perhaps I am just too used to the many dry and sunny days of Southern California, but a rainy day just means I need to find my umbrella that I haven’t used for years, I’ll be stuck in terrible traffic on my way to work, and hopefully I don’t end up soaking wet! Nevertheless, this set does add a lot of fun to the rainy theme and that mallard duck is just too stinkin’ cute!
I definitely imagined this boy and duck playing in the rain so I had him toss the umbrella away! The fun playful scene also encouraged me to get playful with layout as well. There are three layers there in the background. From bottom to top, the dark grey card stock with the sentiment heat embossed in white at the bottom, the square sized ink blended panel, and the square sized frame die cut using the Diamond Stripe Square Confetti Cuts.
Layer by layer I adhered each panel down, and at the very end added all the images with foam tape to complete this scene. The added rain drops and water splatter images added some fun “action” to the card.
For each day of the countdown, the Confetti Crew & Friends have projects to share with the products revealed. Be sure to leave a comment on each hop for extra chances to win a $25 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti shop! Comments will close at noon CST on May 7th and a winner will be announced at 5pm on May 7th on the Reverse Confetti blog and FB page.
