It’s the third and last day of the Countdown to Confetti before release day! Today’s card is the favorite one I made for the release and it features the set called Cake & Champagne. Who doesn’t love cake AND champagne?
I stamped the cake and several floral images from the stamp set in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored it with copic markers. I went for a chocolate cake! On each of the floral centers, I used some Nuvo Dream Drops and let it dry before I added them to the cake.
Behind the cake, I added a framed background using the Scalloped Square Confetti Cuts. The inside piece was ink blended with Worn Lipstick.
I used the ‘celebrate’ word from the Party & Celebrate Confetti Cuts three times, with one layer ink blended in Faded Jeans and Tea Dye ink. These were layered together for dimension. Then, I broke up the word in 3 lines to fit beside the cake.
I knew I wanted to go for a kraft background, but it was feeling too plain for me, so I stamped the floral images in the corners in white pigment ink. I really liked how it came out!
