Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Beach Chickies

Yippee its Friday! And for those in the US, today is probably the beginning of a nice long Memorial Day weekend. I’m always excited for long weekends, but who isn’t? It also happens that today’s Mama Elephant Beach Chickies is a great way to kick off the weekend, especially for all of you already experiencing the summer heat already!

These chicks sure know how to have fun! I especially love the one laying in her mermaid sand tail. With so many of these cute chicks, I wanted to get a bunch of them on there to create a fun scene, and the Hillside Cover is always a favorite of mine to work with.

I die cut the Hillside Cover out of white card stock and used a craft knife and ruler to cut out the top two sections. I wanted that area to be sky, so I had extracted it out to create a window. I masked off the frame with washi tape and individually blended and splattered each hill to create a sandy look.

The bottom layer is also ink blended and where the sentiment is stamped on. The hillside cover panel is added with foam tape over it, and then the chicks on top of that with foam tape. Each layer housed the little area for these individual chick scenes and brings them all together!
