We were out in the sea for the first day of the MFT June Release Countdown, and now we’re coming back to land and having a picnic! Today’s project will be featuring the new Stacey Yacula stamp set called Picnic Pals!
This set’s got be squealing because it’s so cute! And you know what? You can totally mix and match this set with other SY sets to create variations or have an even bigger picnic party! My images were stamped in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored with copic markers. Then, they were die cut out using the coordinating Die-namics.
The background is completely ink blended with distress oxide inks, the sky being one panel and the grass being a separate panel. The grass layer is die cut with the Grassy Hills Die-namics to create the two edges for extra dimension. Then, I used some of the grass images from SY Friendly Foxes to stamp a few onto the grass.
The sentiment is from this Picnic Pals stamp set, which is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed in white in the top right corner. Then, I assembled all the pieces to the scene together with my tape runner and some foam adhesives.
Head on over or back to the MFT Blog for more information on today’s product reveals and inspiration from the rest of the team!
Adorable card! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you Angie!
I love how you laid out this scene and built elements to create it. The sentiment is great too!
Thanks so much!
Such a sweet picnic scene, these new critters are darling.
What color of distress ink did you use for the sky and grass? Thanks
For the sky I used Broken China and Tumbled Glass. The grass is Bundled Sage and Forest Moss.
