We’re now on the final day of The Greetery June Release product reveals and I’m sharing a project featuring the newest edition to Katie’s Cuties called Feelin’ Fan-Sea. Katie’s creativity once again brings us such an adorable mini stamp set with a starfish and octopus with many fun accessories. There’s also a beautiful new stand alone die called Sea Scene.
Many of you know how much I love to color with my copic markers! I stamped up several images in the set with a dark brown hybrid ink and colored up the images with copic markers. The dot coloring technique was very fitting here and added lots of texture to these images. They were then die cut with their matching dies.
The details on this Sea Scene die is just gorgeous. Since I backed it against a vibrant ink blended background using Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Antique Linen, I kept the frame simple with just a light amount of ink blending on the edges with Antique Linen distress oxide ink.
I have also recently went on quite a wild sequin purchasing frenzy and wanted to make this into a shaker card. You may recognize the mix from a recent Instagram post, where I mixed several white and iridescent sequins of all shapes and sizes. I love the reflection of the iridescent ones bouncing off color from the background.
I used the Sentiment Suite Basics die to die cut a smaller fishtail banner out of light blue card stock and heat embossed the sentiment ‘feelin’ fan-sea’ in white. All images and the sentiment were added to the card last.
Just one more sleep before release day! The release will be available tomorrow for purchase at 10am EDT. What were some of your favorites? I can’t wait to see what ya’ll create with them!
