It’s time to p-arr-ty with some treasure hunting pi-rats! This month Liz Mytinger brings us a new collaboration set with Waffle Flower featuring the cutest pirates called P-arr-ty Time. If you’ve been a fan of her like me or just love cute sets, then you’re going to absolutely love this one!
I stamped several images from the set with a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with my copic markers. I also used a white gel pen for some highlights. Then, the images were die cut out with their matching dies.
I had a lot of images to work with, and in fact I ended up having to take a few out, so the layout is relatively simple. I had a daytime sky ink blended with Broken China and Tumbled Glass distress oxide, and a sand area that was created with Vintage Photo distress oxide blended onto kraft card stock. I also die cut this piece with a snow drifts edge.
The sentiment was stamped in the center, once with a light brown color and again slightly offset using a darker brown color. I also stamped the skull image in the background several times with second and third generation stamping. Many of you know how much I love to add splatter to my cards, and when I have a good reason to, like sand texture, I go full out! There was plenty of splatter with white, yellow, and brown paint.
Once the background was assembled, my last step was to add on all the images centered around the treasure chest!
