Welcome back the last day of the MFT July Release countdown! We’re less than 24 hours before the release. Are you excited? I have some more summer themed fun for you today featuring a set called Mermaid For Each Other.
I stamped these mermaids and friends in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. I love that these images were large and easier to color. I used the matching Die-namics to die cut the images out and set it aside for the next step.
I decided to go with a simple layout but also wanted to match the fun, playful look of these girls so I heat embossed the background with Whimsical Waves Background in white and ink blended across it from the left edge. I faded it out as blended towards to right and used the same inks to add a touch of splatter.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Coral Crush card stock. It matched my crabs very well. Then I used the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips to get those lovely stitching on it. All images were added last with foam tape.
