Last Saturday I introduced to you the gorgeous Spellbinders Holiday 2019 Collection, and today we’re having a blog hop with many of our favorite designers! I’ve created one more card featuring this collection for today.
This cute little raccoon was die cut using the Christmas Bandit Etched Dies and die cut out of black, gray, and white cardstock. I used Hickory Smoke and Black Soot distress oxide ink to blend some definition to the die cut pieces. Any remaining areas were colored in with my copic markers instead of using additional color card stock.
The background was die cut with the Nestabilities Fancy Edged Circles and ink blended with Black Soot, Broken China, and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks. I used the circle die again on white card stock and freehand a curvy edge for a layer of snow. I added these layers together and gave it a generous splatter of white paint for snow.
The trees were die cut using Santa’s Workshop Etched Dies and the berries were die cut using the Joy Etched Dies. The sentiment ‘Merry Hugs’ comes from the Merry Hugs Dies. I assembled everything together with a sheet of pattern paper that matched the scarf. With the Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops, I added some embellishments to the hat and berries, set it to dry, and the card is done!
