It’s Wednesday and there’s a new Sketch Challenge up with My Favorite Things! I had a lot of fun with this week’s sketch. It was definitely a challenge as the layout seemed a little random to me when I first saw it, and I wasn’t really sure what to do. But as I thought through it, they seemed fitting as “windows” for some characters to sit in for a fun whimsical look!
I stamped images from SY Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. I then used the coordinating Die-namics to die cut the images out.
I picked out a random STAX shape I had and die cut three sizes out of white card stock. For each, I gave it an ink blended ombre background with colors coordinating with the colors used on my critters.
On a separate A2 sized white card stock, I used the same inks I used on the mini ink blended background to add some random patterns by ink blending over the Mini Staggered Circles Stencil.
The last step is to get the sentiments on the card. I had used my same inks again to blend solid colors onto white card stock to get matching color card stock. I then heat embossed several sentiments in white from Bitty Birthday Wishes. I die cut each phrase with the Skinny Strips Die-namics and added them below each critter.
