Happy Monday ya’ll! I’m so excited to finally start sharing my projects for The Greetery Holiday Release and I have so many! How about we start with 3 for today? There are so many fantastic products to introduce and showcase with you and it’s only day one. It’s been a little while since we saw Fir & Foliage No. 1, but we finally have the next one in this series, Fir & Foliage No. 2 featuring pine trees, just in time for the holidays!
The set features three different sizes of the pine tree all showcased here on my first card. It is a 3 layer image and I have stamped mine here with Altenew inks Lime, Fresh Leaf, and Moss. The trunk is stamped in ombre with Altenew inks Almond Butter and Milk Chocolate. The images were die cut with their coordinating dies.
I die cut a layer of snow using the Drifting Die. I just love this die. There is a swirly piercing design with this cut that adds a elegant detail to the snow. Another fabulous die also used here is the Frosty Corners die. I have used them with white card stock to add those beautiful snowflake top corners.
I have a simple ombre ink blended background here created with Distress Oxide inks Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot. It was generously splattered with white acrylic paint to create a snowy effect. I completed the card with simple ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment (more details on this set later this week) heat embossed in white onto a gray card stock and die cut with the Sentiment Suite Basics Die.
This next card showcases many products that I’ve used in the first card and another set called Tree Trimmings. Tree Trimmings coordinates with the Fir & Foliage No. 2 set to add holiday strings and a tree topper to your pine trees! This time my pine tree is stamped in Altenew inks Grass Field, Shadow Creek and Mountain Pine. It was then heat embossed with the matching tree trimming stamp in gold then die cut. The star tree topper was heat embossed separately on white card stock, die cut with the matching die, and added to the top of the tree.
I used the Frosty Corners die over red card stock and used it for all four corners of the card. I gave each corner a light blend of Distress Oxide Tea Dye and Tattered Rose inks. I used some red watercolor paint to add some splatter.
The sentiment used here is from the Tree Trimming stamp set. The sentiment is two lines, so do stamp in along the sides of the tree, I used post its to mask off the top or bottom line of the sentiment as I stamped it down to the background. The tree was added to the card with foam tape for a little extra dimension.
My last card uses stamped images from Christmas Eve stamp set. The trees were stamped in Altenew inks Olive and Moss, and the strings were stamped in Ruby Red. The silhouette of a family was stamped in black ink. All images were then die cut with their matching dies.
I used the Halfsies Oval Die in Neenah Desert Storm card stock to assemble a frame for a little scene area. I also decorated the frame by blending white pigment ink over the Frosty Flakes stencil. It’s a very minimal detail, but enough to make it a little frosty! I also have a background here that ink blended with Distress Oxide Broken China and Tumbled Glass.
The frame and several of the images were adhered with foam tape for a little dimension. Do you recognize the silhouette images of the family? If you look closely, they resemble the people from the previously released set Hand in Hand!
