Waffle Flower x Imagine Crafts Versafine Clair & MBoss Collaboration

This month the Waffle Flower team is collaborating with Imagine Crafts for some inspirations with products from both companies and hosting giveaways! I don’t typically have a lot of funding to try out new products, so this was a great opportunity for me to finally give the Versafine Clair inks and the MBoss embossing powders a try.

The Versafine Clair inks are waterproof pigment inks, which means they work great for stamping and watercoloring and they carry properties of pigment inks in that they are easier to blend with. I was impressed at how clear the stamped image is when using this ink (not shown here), and wanted to also test out how well they blend in my card today.

Also not that I had said they are waterproof, but not alcohol ink proof. Thus, for my stamped images, I used a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. The images here are from one of my favorite sets called Little Painters. I used the matching dies to die cut the images out.

So the background is die cut out with the Vertical Stripes Die out of bristol card stock. On each vertical strip I chose a color of Versafine Clair ink to blend with a blending brush. From the left to right, I used Paradise, Warm Breeze, Green Oasis, Cheerful, Summertime, and Charming Pink. You can also see that I lined up the paint colors on the brushes similarly!

I think I probably would of preferred to use a word die for the sentiment, but I just didn’t have one to work with. So I picked the next best thing I had which was a clean large sentiment to really be able to stand out in front of such a loud, colorful background. This sentiment from the Big Dots Sentiments stamp set. I heat embossed it in silver onto white card stock and trimmed it down to a smaller rectangle before adding it to the card with foam tape.

As part of this collaboration, there are TWO $50 gift certificate up for grabs, sponsored by both Waffle Flower and Imagine Crafts! To qualify for a chance to win, head on over to the Instagram @imaginecrafts_ and @waffleflowercrafts and comment on posts sharing the collaboration projects!
