The Greetery Holiday Release: With Love at Christmas

The Greetery release wouldn’t be right without some florals, so today we’re introducing the gorgeous set called With Love at Christmas! This set produces a beautiful floral arrangement through layered stamping and several parts of this floral arrangement can also be stamped individually to add dimension or more embellishment for variety.

Let’s start with the clean and simple card I created to showcase one individual floral bouquet. I stamped the poinsettia in Ruby Red and Grapevine, the leaves in Shadow Creek and Mountain Pine, and the yellow flower in Warm Sunshine and Honey Drizzle. You might be able to also see that even though the bouquet can all be one layer, I had separately stamped the yellow flower, die cut, and added it to the image to give a little extra dimension.

The background is simple and really stands out because of its dimension. I have used the Drifting dies to die cut out the middle strip out of white card stock and gently blend the edges inward with Festive Berries and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks. I want to emphasize that it is a very, very light handed ink blend of Festive Berries, as that color is very vibrant and I wanted just a hint of it to distinguish the curvatures. I did the same to the background edges too.

So the center piece was elevated with some foam tape and the floral arrangement added above that. I heat embossed a simple ‘merry christmas’ from Sentiment Suite: Christmas in white on black card stock and die cut a little banner using the Sentiment Suite Basics dies. I finished off the card with some light black paint splatter and clear enamel dots.

This next card is even bolder! The florals are stamped exactly the same as the first card as I like stamp and die cut a few at a time. I love the vibrant flowers again black and white, so I selected some black and white striped pattern paper as my backdrop. I trimmed down a smaller rectangle piece out of white card stock where I stamped my large sentiment from Sentiment Suite: Christmas in black.

There are only two floral images used on this card. One in the top center and another one chopped up to look like it is framing the bottom! This is something I love doing to add variety and create the illusion that there are several different arrangements on a card.

I added one more piece to the sentiment, which is the ‘Merry Christmas’ heat embossed in white on black card stock and die cut out with the Sentiment Suite Basics dies. I added this right above the larger text with foam tape. And finally I added some final Nuvo Liquid Mercury drops and clear enamel dots on and around the flowers for a little extra embellishment.

I also want to share with you one more thing from today’s product reveals and that is the Flappable Stencil Collection. It would suck if you spend all that time creating these beautiful cards to send out and leaving the envelope completely untouched! These stencils offer a quick and easy way to add just a little extra to your envelopes to help bring you full circle.
