Altenew October 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop

Hey there! Thanks for joining me in today’s Altenew October 2019 Release Blog Hop! As we can always expect out of Altenew, they surprise us with a gorgeous release of all sorts of new  florals and holiday themed sets this month. It is always so hard to pick a favorite but hope I can draw your attention on some of the products that I had the opportunity to work with!

Coloring gold heat embossed florals is one of my favorite things to do and here I have used the new Precious Peony Stamp set, heat embossed in gold, and colored with copic markers. This set is so lovely and so coloring friendly. I can truly imagine it beautiful in any coloring medium you choose to use.

I used two out of the three floral arrangements in the set for my card. After coloring, I also used the coordinating die set to die cut out the images. The background was ink blended to stay simple, but complimentary to the images and their arrangements.

The sentiment used here is from an older set called Story of Us. I heat embossed it in the same gold as the florals directly onto the background.

This next card is sweet and simple. I love how strong of a statement this rose is so I wanted to keep it that way. These roses are from the stamp set called Rosy Outlook. It is a layered stamp set, and each part of the rose can be die cut with the coordinating die set, as I have done so here.

I wanted to retain a light and simple background to compliment, so I have used the Liquid Marble Stencil to ink blend on Morning Frost and Evening Gray inks with a blending brush. I also stamped the sentiment ‘so happy for you’ along the stem of the rose.

Since my rose and petals were die cut, I was also able to add some light dimension to the card by elevating them with foam tape. I then used the Nuvo Clear Glaze to add some water droplets for some light embellishment.
