The Greetery November Release: Winter Beauties

Welcome back to the second preview and last day of the Greetery November Release before tomorrow’s release day! Day one was spectacular and you’re going just love today’s sets as well! This month is all about the winter and so we gotta have a Winter Sketches and Budding Beauties set!

My first card features the Winter Sketches set. Like its precedent sets, Summer Sketches and Autumn Sketches, this is set designed with the versatility of having layered stamping or outline stamping. I have used its layered stamping images to create various branches to fill out my snowy scene here. The ink colors I have stamped these images with are as follows:

Buds: Altenew Rocky Shore and Mocha
Buds: Altenew RougeVelvet and Crimson
Leaves: Altenew Grass Field and Shadow Creek

My background was ink blended with Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks. I gave it a generous splatter of white paint to create a snowy sky. I also stamped the sentiment Christmas Blessings from Sentiment Suite: Christmas in black ink in the bottom left corner.

I am obssessed with dimension so I had to add these branches with foam tape. It took some to trim my adhesive to thin strips behind the branches, but I always think it’s well worth the effort!

I decided to continue the color scheme I had going in the first card onto my second card as well. This card showcases the Budding Beauties set and Fit to Be Tied dies. Both these sets work beautifully with the Bottled Up or Just Mason Around sets as fillers too. Isn’t that awesome? I decided to keep it simple and just tie up a bouquet of hollies with the Fit to Be Tied dies.

I created a radial ink blended background with Chipped Sapphire and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks. I also used the Berry Branch stencil and ink blended white pigment ink add some pattern to the background.

After stamping my hollies (same ink colors as the first card listed above), I arranged three of them together. I die cut the bow out of various red card stock, and also added another bow die cut out of gold mirror card stock to layer on top of it. I stamped a tiny little ‘merry christmas’ sentiment on kraft card stock and die cut this mini tag from Sentiment Suite Basics Die. I tied it to the bouquet with a gold EMC thread. So cute!
