Time for the Waffle Flower December 2019 Release! Are you excited? It’s going to be a big, big post packed with tons of inspiration so let’s get right to it.
First up is a new set from Big Bear and Bird called Harpy Birthday with this large image of a cute dog playing a harp. I stamped and colored this image with copic markers and die cut it with the matching dies. To further embellish this scene, I also added some florals from Bouquet Builder 6 that was also stamped, copic colored, and die cut with the matching dies.
Since I had so much going on already, I stuck with a simple ink blended background that just gave the overall card a little definition. I stamped the sentiment ‘harpy birthday’ and several music notes floating around it.
I stamped the harp image directly onto the card once so that the harp’s string will connect with the die cut image I added on top with foam tape. The florals were added with foam tape as well.
My next card showcases the Outline Love Word Die paired with the Secret Admirer Combo. I had recently bought a bunch of card stock from Joann’s and thought it was a great opportunity to start using it! I die cut the Outline Love Word four times out of white card stock, and again four times out of each color card stock. In total, I die cut this word 20 times!
So I started gluing all these pieces down on a piece of Neenah Desert Storm card stock, and each time I inlaid the color pieces, I would rotate the colors. Once that was done, I trimmed the sides down a little bit so that it showed a little white border when mounted.
I thought it would be cute to add this little mouse from Secret Admirer to the center of the card to once again re-emphasize the love. He is stamped and colored with copics, then die cut with the matching dies. I added her to the center of the card with foam adhesive.
This next card is more focused on the Secret Admirer Combo. There are several adorable little images of these cute mice in this set, and I colored some more images for this card! Since these cute mice are calling on the phone, I paired it with Speech Bubble Die to add a lot of sweet messages.
I used a simple pink plaid background and added two varied size of Speech Bubbles that I gently ink blended with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink. I added all the little images that I had colored and die cut onto the card.
This last one is a fun one! This sweet mouse and all the little images surrounding it is from the mini set called Sending Love. I stamped and colored them with copic markers and used the matching dies to die cut all the shapes out.
For the background, I used our Mailbox Die to die cut several letters of all sizes. This Mailbox Die is pretty cool, and highly recommend you check out the other designers’ use of it! I use it to create a simple background filled with letters to accompany my sweet mouse. I added it on top of a light blue card stock, and gently splattered some ink for texture.
My images were added last to the card with lots of foam tape, just the way I like
