Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Zodiac Rabbit

I just adore these chubby Zodiac series of animals, don’t you? In Chinese Zodiac, the rabbit is number four on the list. If you don’t know the tale behind the animal order, it would probably be fun for you to google it and read about it! Aside from the rabbit being a part of the Chinese Zodiac, this set is versatile for all occasions and quite perfect the coming Spring. I’ve used them in today’s project to create a general themed card to simply say HEY!

I started by stamping images from Zodiac Rabbit in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored the images with copic markers. I then used the matching dies to die cut all the images out. The dies give me the option to die cut the little hand that sits within the image so that I can add objects for him to hold! I did just that and gave him one of the carrots.

I’ve been creating with a green kick lately, so I decided to along with it for this card. I created an ink blended background with Pine Needles, Cracked Pistachio, and Old Paper distress oxide inks. Then I framed the background with this cute frame from Framed Tags – Madison Avenue that I die cut out of a moss card stock.

I used the Whimsy Alphas to build my large sentiment ‘HEY’. I really love this alphabet sentiment set, so you’ll definitely be seeing more of it later! I separately heat embossed the ‘hoppy hello’ sentiment from the Zodiac Rabbit set in silver and die cut a thin sentiment strip out with it. This was added just below with foam tape. My adorable rabbits were added last to complete the card.

Have a fabulous weekend friends! We shall continue the Stamp Highlight series on Monday. See you then!
