I’m so excited to be introducing to you the Lily & Palm mini release from The Greetery coming to the store tomorrow! This month is a smaller release than usual, but nonetheless packed full of beautiful things. This collection has a few Easter specific things, but also versatile for other occasions.
My first card showcases the new BotaniCuts Lily. As you can expect like the previous BotaniCuts, these dies create a layered die cut version of a flower. The layers are easy to color for a more lifelike impression, and I’ve done so here by ink blending and adding dotted detailing with copic markers. I added a touch of paint splatter as well for texture.
I assembled all the pieces from this die set, which creates two lillies and several leaves to create arrangements with. To keep it the center of attention, I kept the design rather clean and simple. I die cut the two larger of the Crimed Frame Die and layered them over a soft gray card stock. The inner rectangle was also gently ink blended with the same colors as the lily but with a much lighter hand.
I heat embossed the words ‘Sending Prayers’ from Caring Cross sentiment in gold in the bottom right corner. After adding my lilies, I need embellished the card with some clear droplets and iridescent gems.
This next card has more focus on the Caring Cross stamp set and the BotaniCuts Palm. The cross has a coordinating stencil, that I used to ink blend the light ombre ink colors first. Then, I stamped the foliage wrapped around the cross by following the directions of the layered stamping guide. Then, I die cut the cross out.
I wanted to create a light glow behind the cross so I used the Ray of Light Stencil to do some light ink blending in the background. Then, I die cut several of the BotaniCuts Palm out of gold mirror card stock and adhered it onto the background such that it shines behind the cross.
I heat embossed the sentiment ‘He is Risen’ in gold in the top center and added the cross below it with foam tape. I added just a few gems to the cross for a little extra shine.
My last card features products from the Gatherings Creative Kit: Easter Jubilee. Yes, The Greetery has released it’s first kit! As with many of you, I absolutely love Betsy’s kits and so excited to see this release this month. The kit comes with coordinating stencils, die, and stamp set. I used all of them here and the Let’s Have A Word: Happy die.
The floral and outline area of the ‘EASTER’ word is all done via ink blending using a 3 layered stencil. The stamp set allows to add additional details to this image, however I opted not to use it to keep the clean look as I had already applied ombre colors for dimension. I die cut the word ‘EASTER’ in white and positioned it within its halo area.
I die cut the Let’s Have A Word: Happy out of gold mirror card stok and layered it across the card. I added some light paint splatter for texture. I trimmed the panel down to 4″ x 5.25″ and added it over craft foam to my base card.
I hope you enjoy today’s projects! Be sure to stop by The Greetery blog and the blogs from the inspiration team designers below for more inspiration. All products will be live tomorrow!
