Oh how I would just love to go on a vacation right now! The Greetery’s Destination: Summer Collection have definitely got me daydreaming of a trip to Hawaii and brought me back memories of my time in Kauai a couple years ago. It’s such an adorable little island with so much to explore, and these destination maps are just like the poster souvenir I brought home. I love these!
There are a few different products within this collection and I’ve used various combination of them in today’s projects. This first card uses the Destination Maps stencil collection. I ink blended the island maps with Peacock Feathers and Bundled Sage distress oxide inks, and then the surrounding with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink.
I used the Destination stamp and die set to create all these little cute stamped images. Wouldn’t this be a cute card to make to invite family to a vacation? I used some of the stamp directly on the card such as the body of water, compass, and sentiment.
Decorating the island is the best part! I added various images around the island and adhered them directly to the card with liquid adhesive. Easy and so fun to put together!
Perhaps you like working with die cuts more? Instead of stenciling, you could also use the Destination die collection to create your map! Here I used the Destination Rectangle Map, die cut it out of white card stock, ink blended each piece with distress oxide inks, and inlaid them back in. Since I had individual pieces to blend, I was able to get even more variation in the pieces!
For this card I used the Destination: Summer stamp set and this set comes with more beachy images. If you decide on getting both sets, the images can totally mix together too! I stamped the birds overhead directly onto the card and added all the images separately to the card after I die cut them.
I stamped the sentiment on a piece of kraft card stock and decided to cut it out freehand to match the whimsical rounded shape of the map. I gave it some fun curves and then added it to my card with foam tape.
