It’s time for some merry makings with The Greetery! Are we all excited about holiday crafting? I always am! There are so many wonderful products to introduce to you today and I think you’ll definitely find something in this release that you’ll absolutely love, or all of it cause seriously Betsy’s designs just blows us away every single time!
Like its predecessor Written in Ribbons, the Written in Ribbons Holiday set is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for all cards. The two step stamp allows you to create this ribbon like font easily. I have used it here with the word ‘Merry’.
For my card, I used the Fir & Foliage No.2 Stamp Set to creat this trio of pine trees in the background. I then ink blended the top half with Blueprint Sketch and Broken China distress oxide inks, and generously splattered it with white acrylic paint to create a snowy sky.
I added the ‘Merry’ sentiment across the trees with foam tape. I also heat embossed the word ‘christmas’ from the same Written in Ribbons Holiday set onto kraft card stock, and trimmed it down for placement right under the ‘Merry’.
This next card features the new Banner & Bough stamp, stencil, and die combo! Most of the image you see in the center is created with several layering stencils, all ink blended with distress oxide inks. The words in the banner and some details on the foliage were stamped. Then, the dies werre used to die cut out the entire piece.
I used the Square Dance Die and Square Dance Stencil for the background here. Vintage Photo distress oxide was blended onto kraft card stock. Then I adhered onto the base card, and the image right above it with foam tape.
I added some red magenta nuvo drops right on the berries and added a few extra gems to give it a little extra sparkle for interest.
My last card today showcases the Merry Sprigs set. This multi-layer stamp set creates several little sprigs that is great for creating floral arrangements. I decided to use it to create a background, and I really liked how it turned out! I started with the sentiment and just started building from there, trying to cover most areas.
I decided to break up the pattern my elevating the center area. I used the Postal Frames Die and then cut another piece of kraft card stock to just barely border the frame. I adhered the center back to the center of the card with foam tape.
I added one more sentiment to the card which is the phrase ‘from our home to yours’ from the Sentiment Suite: Christmas Stamp Set. I heat embossed it white onto kraft card stock, trimmed it down to a thin strip, and added it just below the main sentiment with foam tape.
That’s all I have for you for today, but we’ve got more tomorrow! For now, be sure to tune into the Greetery Blog for more details and inspiration. You can also find more projects from my fellow team members listed below:
