Hello friends! I missed you! It’s my first post of the year and I hope you’ll forgive me for taking a bit of a break during December. It was great to rejuvenate, relax, spend some time with friends and family remotely (anyone else had Zoom parties?), and catch up on a few things in life, ya know? Anyways, I know you’ve all been waiting patiently to check out this release so let’s get going and check out some inspiration!
Who doesn’t love the combination of cute critters and sweets!? Today’s card is all about the new stamp set called Milkshake. I just had to color them in my favorite flavor strawberry. I love all strawberry flavored sweets and that definitely includes strawberry milkshake!
All my images were colored with copic markers with added highlights and details using a white gel pen. I used the coordinating dies to die cut all the images out.
My card was packed full of cute images so I balanced it with a simple ink blended background. I masked off the bottom area to create a “ground” and used Tea Dye and Antique Linen distress oxide inks. The rest of my background was ink blended with Victorian Velvet and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks.
My sentiment was then heat embossed in white onto the background and then I assembled all the images onto the card with foam tape. Making this card has no got me craving for some strawberry ice cream. Hope you enjoy today’s tidbit of inspiration, and of course I’ll be back for lots more during our Stamp Highlights next week!
