Hello, hello and thanks for joining me today for the first day of reveals of The Greetery’s Spring Market Collection. Betsy blows us away once again with a gorgeous collection of products and I just know you’re going to love it all as much I do. This is not just any release, but also The Greetery’s 2nd Anniversary celebration! Today’s post is packed full of projects featuring, so let’s jump right in!
There’s no such thing as having enough alphas and numbers in your collection. They are truly staples and the new Bold Alpha and Bold Numbers dies most definitely deserve your attention! The serif font adds the perfect classic and elegant look to a card and the added die cut details are clean and unique. For my first card, I used the Bold Numbers die as the focal point for this graduation themed card.
In a similar style as these Bold dies is the Delightful Digits Die used here for the background. It was die cut out of white card stock. I backed this piece with a light blue card stock that I ink blended the outer edge with Blueprint Sketch distress oxide ink to add a little extra drama to the look.
I die the numbers ‘2021’ using the Bold Numbers die out of blue card stock, the closest color I can find from my scrap pile that matched the Blueprint Sketch distress oxide ink I used. This barely shows in the pictures, but before I added my numbers to the card, I added small rectangle piece of vellum behind it. I then die cut the word ‘congrats’ using the Let’s Have A Word: Congrats Die out of gold mirror card stock and added it right across the center of the card. Simple, but impactful! Change up the colors to fit the school colors of the recipient and you have yourself a perfect graduation card!
This next card features the Always in Bloom Stamp and Stencils. I started with a one-layer design, but I did end up adding a few extra layers of borders. I used the stencils to ink blend majority of the design you see here, from the flowers to the text. The stamp was used to add the extra details in the flowers and the sentiment details.
I used the Crimed Frame Die to die cut this piece out and lightly ink blended the edges with Antique Linen distress oxide ink. I then used my paper cutter to cut two more rectangles to layer behind so that I have a thin light blue border and kraft border behind it.
Lastly, let’s take a closer look at the Bold Alpha dies and the Alphabuds Bold Floral Details stamp set. Remember the Alphabudes Slim Stamp Set? Imagine the ability to further explore the ability to arrange your own version! The Alphabuds Bold Floral Details is a great way to add little flourishes to your die cut letters however you like. I have die cut and stamped a ton of them in three variant colors: pink, yellow, and blue.
Can you tell I’m totally into the whole blue color theme today? I die cut the ‘happy’ using the Bold Alpha Dies out of white card stock and gently blended the bottom up with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink. I also used the Crimped Slimline Die to die cut and trim them into the top and bottom edges that frame this design. I ink blended the background with Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks.
I added the word ‘happy’ with foam tape first, and then started tucking in all the Alphabuds Bold Floral Details around the letters and even around the borders. Flowers growing everywhere! I then used the Let’s Have A Word: Birthday Die to die cut the word ‘birthday’ out of gold mirror card stock and added it just below the happy to complete the card.
