Hello! Today I’m blog hopping along with Altenew for their Plentiful Patterns Stand-alone Dies/Stencils Collection Release that just went live in their shop. I’ve been very obssessed with all the layered stencil and die sets as of late and excited to share with you a couple of projects I created for this release!

The star of the card is the Impressionist Bouquet Stencil Die Bundle. Using just stencils and some simple ink blending with Altenew inks, I was able to get this soft no-line look. I ink blended this floral sprig twice so I had plenty of image to use to fill up the background. The images were die cut out.

I did some light blue ink blending in the background to the soft look of this card and added the florals across the panel with foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Happy Birthday Die Set out of gold mirror card stock and positioned it across the flowers.

I just love how this card turned out and definitely want to try it again in a different color scheme.

Now if you’re not so much into stencil ink blending work, check out this next card that uses layered die cuts instead! The dies I used here is called the Itty Bitty Flowers Die Set. If you didn’t already know, Altenew also carries gradient card stock that makes it super easy for you to find the right colors to work with layered dies. For my flowers, I used the Cherry Blossom Gradient Cardstock Set and some kraft card stock for the stem. I added a touch of splatter with some watercolors.

Again, I kept the background soft and simple with a gradient of light blue ink blending and die cut with the torn paper die from Mix and Match Frames Die Set. I added a sentiment in gold embossing in the bottom right. This sentiment came from the Inky Lily Stamp Set.

All the layers were added to the card over foam tape for extra dimension. Totally worth it even if you need to cut little pieces for the flowers!

Today’s post is part of the Altenew Plentiful Patterns Blog Hop! There are tons of inspiration from many designers that I highly recommend you check out! You would have arrived here from Joylita Dsouza’s blog. This is the last stop of the hop so if you’d like to start back at beginning, visit the Altenew Blog.
