Hello! Today we’re blog hopping along with Altenew for the Thanks and Blessings Blog Hop celebrating the September 2021 Release. This gorgeous release is a mix of Fall and Winter themed products. I’m not quite ready for winter crafting quite yet so enjoy some warm, autumn inspiration today!
One of my favorite ways to work with outline floral images is to color with copic markers and heat emboss the outline. But if you don’t already know, coloring with copic markers over heat embossing can damage your margers, so it is best to color first and then heat emboss. To do that, I stamped the image in a light brown (kraft) ink first, colored it with my copic markers, and then went back and stamped it again in Versamark and heat embossed it in gold. I then used the Blossom & Bloom Die to die cut out the image.
The background was created with a couple of older release products. I started with some ink blending over the Sketched Lines Stencil. I alternated ink colors while ink blending and was able to do this easily with these Altenew Mini Blending Brush Set. Then I used the Mix and Match Frames Die Set to die cut out the torn edge rectangle.
The last step is to layer all the pieces together with foam tape. I started with a soft yellow base, then my ink blended piece, and my the colored floral image leaning to the left. I completed the card with a simple sentiment From the Strength Blooms Stamp Set heat embossed in white on a light brown card stock, trimmed it down, and aded it over the flower.
