PTI Celebrating 2012: The Past, Present & Future

Welcome back to the 6th day of Papertrey Ink’s 10th Annivesary Celebration! Is it just me or does every year cause more and more awesome?!

Today we are celebrating 2012 and I have chosen to feature the Sentiment Signs stamp set that I absolutely adore so much. I am a huge fan of Papertrey Ink’s gorgeous sentiment sets, and this set is one of my all-time faves. You know a sentiment set is amazing when the sentiment itself can stand out on a card as a star!

My card is clean and simple today, and definitely something that I would mass produce or a make a full boxed set with! I first heat embossed the sentiment in white onto watercolor cardstock. Then I started watercoloring streaks of color over the words in varying colors, and adding splatter as I go. (Just a tip: Make sure your paint is pretty dry so that you can get a strong impression!)

I made sure that none of the strokes of color touched each other because I didn’t want any mixing to happen. I picked out strong, bright colors, cause there’s no better way to add more impact to these words! I was able to create both these cards at the same time, and definitely plan to use the RSVP sentiment block and the same look the next time I create invitations to a party! Doesn’t it just looks so fun?

Now that I have showcased how this product from the past has remained a classic, it’s your turn to share your ideas for the future! Stop by Nichole’s blog to share a new project you make with this product, or just share a creation that is somehow inspired by what I made today.
