My Favorite Things

MFT April Release Countdown Day 5

Woohoo! Let’s start the April release countdown for My Favorite Things! Each month sure flies by so fast, and every month there is so much exciting surprises. We have tons of springtime loveliness in today’s post, filled with flowers, critters, and butterflies.

I started by stamping my flowers, birds, and butterflies from the Springtime Blooms and Springtime Critters stamp sets in hybrid ink (copic-friendly!) and coloring them with copic markers. I then die cut with coordinating dies.

Once all my pieces are done, it’s time set up the scene. I had so many to add to this spring scene, that I kept it pretty simple. I die cut grass out of Limeade cardstock, and added a hint of texture in it by blending some Mowed Lawn distress ink and following up with some splatter.

My background is watercolored with Salty Ocean distress ink and then also finished up with some splatter. Once dry, I heat embossed the sentiment in silver in the top right. I assembled my scene and adhered it with foam tape.

Hope you enjoy’s today’s peek of some of the amazing products in April’s line up. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for more release products and inspirations from participating design members. All release products will be available Tuesday, April 4th at 9pm EST at the MFT Store. See you tomorrow for more projects with the April release!
