We’re another day closer to the My Favorite Things December Release and today I’m going to be sharing with you an un-bee-lievably darling set called Meant to Bee! Oh yes, bring on the puns! This month we have a lot of hexagon shapes in our line-up, just perfect to pair up with our little bee set here. I immediately reached for my Honeycomb Background and stamped the pattern with Peach Bellini onto white cardstock. Then, I die cut a hexgan window with our new Die-namics Stitched Tag-Corner Square STAX. On a separate white cardstock, I blended Broken China distress oxide in ombre fashion and added some splatter.
I aligned to two pieces together, placed it in my MISTI held down with a magnet, and began stamping all the dotted lines in Chocolate Brown hyrbid ink where I planned to position the flying bees. Using the MISTI, although not necessary, just gave me extra comfort in knowing that I can align and stamp down across the two surfaces evenly. I didn’t have to stamp down more than once, but you never know! I also stamped my sentiment right below the hexagon window.
All my images were also stamped with Chocolate Brown hybrid ink. All imagesww came from the Meant to Bee set except the branch, which is from the Harvest Buddies stamp set. I colored all my images with copic markers and embellished with a white gel pen. I die cut all the images using the coordinating Die-namics.
And finally, I assembled everything with foam tape, including the entire honeycomb panel. I’m happy to have this bee-lated birthday card ready to go since I’m so forgetful and know this will definitely come in handy.
